backtrack #4 - 5 year anniversary

the day after the twins turned 4 months, on november 21st, mark and i celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. at first we didn't think we were going to do anything because of the twins. we had never left them alone with anyone else without at least one of us being there. we decided that it was time and so we left them with mark's mom and his aunt. it was only for a couple of hours while we went to dinner, but it was the most nerve-wrecking couple of hours i had ever had since they were born.

we decided to try a new restaurant called GrillMarX Steakhouse & Raw Bar because i was really craving a steak. so we fed the twins and briefed mark's mom and aunt on the "if this, then this" stuff for the twins. lincoln went down for a nap right after his bottle but reagan still hadn't so she was still awake when we left. not more than 5 minutes after we left, i was already logged into our security camera app on my phone to see what they were all up to. sad. so sad. i know.

we enjoyed dinner as much as we could. but of course, the whole dinner was spent checking the security cameras and talking about the twins. first time parents rookie mistakes i tell ya! haha

when we got home, the twins were going crazy! neither mark's mom nor my aunt could calm them down. it was so heartbreaking for me. i know it'll take a while to get them used to other people, but it was hard and i felt bad for mark's mom and aunt cause they looked so helpless. i hope in the future, it won't be as bad. guess we'll have to wait and see!
