30 - 32 weeks... our maternity shoot + family baby shower

sorry to any readers about the delays in updates. i've been so exhausted so fast lately. the twins are growing fast and big and it's been really taxing on my body. so, i've been spending most of my days sleeping all day, getting up only to use the restroom or for appointments. but here's what's been going on lately...

30 weeks

30 weeks started out pretty well. our dear friend Harris Nguyen of Harris Nguyen Photography came by sunday morning to take maternity photos for us. it was a lot of fun but taxing on my body. after the shoot and some dim sum for lunch, i passed out for almost 3 hours from exhaustion! who would have thought that just taking a bunch of photos would be so tiring!?

the rest of the week was filled with doctors appointments and some errands. i started to feel more exhausted more easily these days so i've been really utilizing the wheelchair wherever we need to go. i'm still so surprised that so many places either have inadequate handicap accessibility or none at all. what is irritating is that when i go to report these things to whomever owns or manages these establishments that we visit, these people don't really seem to care. most of the responses we get are,"oh, yeah, we know" or "yeah, there's not much we can do about it right now, but we're trying to fix it." well, y'all aren't trying hard enough!

anyways...
by the end of the week, i was really looking forward to the following week when my parents and siblings came into town for our family baby shower. we haven't seen them since new year's because of my high risk pregnancy and getting put on bedrest. i couldn't wait!

here are the photos from our maternity shoot...

31 weeks

my parents and siblings came into town to throw us a family baby shower. it was both exciting and exhausting. it was really great to have my family here with us, but by the end of their 4-5 day stay, i was exhausted. here are the photos that Harris took.

32 weeks

so i mustered up just enough energy to attend our friend's wedding. i could only make it to the reception though. it was nice to be out and about (in my wheelchair) and see people and catch up with some friends. i had forgotten how isolated i've really been since i was put on bedrest. despite having to sit the whole night, the wedding was a lot of fun and i had a great time. but of course, as soon as my head hit the pillow, i was knocked out!

we had an appointment with the OBGYN today. things went well and we are now just waiting for them to call us back with the date of our scheduled Cesarian date. they're hoping to schedule it for around 38 weeks, but something tells me i'm not going to make it that far. lincoln has shortened my cervix to almost nothing, which means they are literally hanging in my uterus by a thread! so, if it weren't for the cerclage they had put it weeks ago, the twins may already be here! crazy!

i'll be sure to keep y'all as updated as my body will let me. till next time.... have a great rest of the week!
